Cookie Policy · GDPR / LSSI-CE
Note: This English version is provided for convenience. In the event of any inconsistency, the Spanish version shall prevail as the legally binding text under Spanish law.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on the user's device when visited. They allow the website to remember information about the visit (language, preferences, etc.) to make navigation easier on later visits.
2. Types of cookies used
According to their purpose, the cookies used on this website are classified as:
- Technical or strictly necessary cookies: enable the user to navigate the website and use its basic functions. These do not require consent.
- Analytics or measurement cookies: enable aggregate analysis of website use to improve its operation. These require user consent.
3. First-party cookies
Currently, thebeefeater.es does not use first-party session or persistent cookies of its own. The website is static and informational in nature and does not require user authentication or cookie-based preference storage.
Cookie consent preferences are stored in the browser's local storage (localStorage), not in a cookie. However, GDPR and LSSICE apply equally to equivalent local storage technologies.
4. Third-party cookies
This website embeds third-party resources that may set their own cookies on your device. Below are the providers and the purpose of their cookies:
Google Analytics 4 — analytics
This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (United States), to obtain aggregate statistical information about website usage (pages visited, devices, approximate geographic location, time spent). Data is collected in pseudonymised form.
Google Analytics sets the following cookies in your browser:
_ga— Unique user identifier to distinguish visitors. Duration: 2 years._ga_SQ428B4ZPK— Session identifier specific to the Google Analytics property. Duration: 2 years.
Property identifier: G-SQ428B4ZPK. Google LLC is subject to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, so the international data transfer is carried out with adequate safeguards under Article 45 GDPR.
More information in Google's Privacy Policy. To opt out of tracking, you can install the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Google Maps — technical, manual activation
The location map does not load automatically. It is activated in two ways: (a) when the user clicks the "Load map" button, or (b) when the user accepts all cookies in the consent panel. If non-essential cookies are rejected or preferences are saved without analytics, the map only loads via the manual button. When the map loads, a connection is established with Google LLC (United States) servers and Google may set cookies necessary for correct map operation and abuse detection. If the map is not activated, no data is sent to Google. Google LLC is subject to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. For more information, see Google's privacy policies.
5. Consent and preference management
The use of technical cookies does not require prior consent. The use of analytics cookies (Google Analytics) requires the user's informed consent pursuant to Article 22.2 LSSICE and the GDPR.
On your first visit a consent panel is displayed with three visually equivalent options:
- Reject non-essential — rejects analytics cookies; only technical cookies remain active.
- Configure — opens a detailed panel where you can enable or disable each category individually. This panel also includes a Reject all button to decline all non-essential categories in one click.
- Accept all — accepts all cookie categories, including analytics. In this case the location map is also loaded automatically.
Your choice is stored in the browser's local storage for 12 months. You can update your preferences at any time via the Manage cookies link in the footer of any page on this website, or by clicking the button below:
6. How to manage or disable cookies
You can configure your browser to accept or reject cookies, or to notify you when one is being installed. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the proper functioning of some website features (such as the location map).
